Under the general direction and supervision of the Financial Planning Manager, the Grants/Treasury Accountant performs budgeting, banking and accounting duties to assist the Finance Director, Controller, and Financial Planning Manager with the borough’s banking and investments, accounting, grant reporting and budgeting functions.

2. WORK EXPERIENCE :A minimum of three (3) years of increasingly responsible work experience in accounting or two (2) years of recent public accounting experience. Additional education may be considered. Work experience should include the following:
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience preparing and submitting grant expenditure and performance reports.
2. Experience preparing financial data using Microsoft Suite of Products.
3. Governmental accounting experience.
Grants / Treasury Accountant I: Requires basic ability to complete tasks 1-8 below.
Grants / Treasury Accountant II: A Grants / Treasury Accountant level I (Range N) in good standing with the Borough may be bumped-up to a Grants / Treasury Accountant II (Range 0) at the discretion of the Department Head once they are able to appropriately and fully complete tasks listed on 9-12 below.
Grants / Treasury Accountant I:
1. Ability to use independent judgment in applying guidelines to varied situations and to maintain confidentiality.
